Your account

The settings that follow you, not your unit: notifications, how you sign in, where you are signed in, your clock, your details and a copy of your data.

Choose what reaches your phone and email

  1. At the top, press Notify this device if notifications on this device are off.
  2. Open Notifications.
  3. For each kind of notice, check Phone, Email, both or neither.
  4. Check No phone notices between and set the hours for quiet nights.
  5. Under Emails, choose As they happen or One summary a day, at a time.
  6. Press Save.

Then: Saved. Everything still reaches your notifications list in the app, whatever is checked. On iPhone and iPad, and on a computer, the app's icon shows how many messages and notices are waiting. Android shows a dot instead.

Mary Ann wants approvals on their phone but only one email a day. They leave Phone checked, choose One summary a day at 6:00 PM and press Save: the summary lists what is waiting on them and what is new.

Turn on two-step sign-in

  1. Open Signing in.
  2. Press Set up two-step sign-in, and type your password if you are asked to confirm it is you.
  3. Scan the square code with your authenticator app, or type its key into the app.
  4. Type the six digits it shows under Code from your app.
  5. Press Turn on two-step sign-in.
  6. Press Copy all and keep the recovery codes somewhere safe.

Then: Signing in now asks for a code from your app after your password. The recovery codes are shown this once; each signs you in once if you lose your phone.

Change the address you sign in with

  1. Open Signing in.
  2. Press Change sign-in address.
  3. Type it under New sign-in address.
  4. Press Send the link, confirming it is you if you are asked.
  5. Open the link sent to the new address within 24 hours, and confirm there.

Then: A link goes to the new address and a note to your current one; nothing changes until the link is opened, and until then you sign in with your current address. Once it is confirmed, every device signed in as you is signed out.

Rather not? Press Call it off to stop it before it is confirmed.

Sign out a device you do not know

  1. Open Where you're signed in.
  2. Find the device by what it is and when it was last used.
  3. Press Sign out beside it, then Sign out again to confirm.
  4. Or press Sign out everywhere else to sign out of every device but this one.

Then: That device is signed out at once. This one stays signed in. On a remembered device your recent messages are also kept, and the installed app keeps its main pages, so it opens at once, even with no signal, for up to 72 hours since it last connected; they are removed when you sign out. A browser tab keeps no pages.

Rather not? If you think somebody knows your password, press Change password under Signing in too.

Download a copy of your data

  1. Open Your personal data.
  2. Press Download my data.
  3. Choose Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv).

Then: One file with your details, seats, hours, leave, courses, bookings, the messages you wrote and your groups. The first sheet says what is left out and how to ask for it.

Who: Each download is written on your organization's record, without what was in it. Whoever administers the organization answers requests for anything left out, or to close the account and erase it.

Grace needs a record of their volunteering for a reference. They download their data as Excel: the Shifts, Timesheets and Completions sheets are that record, dated as the app dates them.

Everything here is your own and changes nothing for anybody else. Membership, calendar sync, texts and what you took part in show only where your organization's plan has them. Somebody who joined a group from outside signs in with an emailed code, so has no password or two-step sign-in here.
