Settings
Every setting you keep, on one menu: grouped as Settings groups them, each with a line on what it is for. On a phone it is the way into each of them; on a computer the menu is beside it, and Settings on the left opens a setting itself.
Find a setting
- On a phone, press More, then Settings. On a computer, press Settings at the top of the menu beside any setting.
- Type part of its name in Find a setting, such as leave or texts. A word from the group, or from the line under a name, finds it too.
- Press the setting to open it.
Then: The list keeps only the settings whose words hold what you typed, and a group with none left goes. If nothing is left, it says no setting on your menu is called that: your role does not keep it.
Sokha coordinates the Riverside unit, and HR has sent the opening leave balances in a spreadsheet. On a phone, Sokha opens Settings, types leave, presses Leave under Time and leave, and imports the balances for the unit's people.
Go from one setting to another
- On a computer, press Settings on the left: it opens the setting you opened last on this computer, or the first on your menu if you have opened none there, with the menu beside it.
- Use the menu beside every settings page: the page you are on is lit, and the groups are the same as here.
- Press another setting's name to open it.
- On a phone, press ‹ Settings at the top of any settings page to come back here, and choose another.
Then: Each page's header names its group above its title. Its question mark is beside the title on a computer, and in the top bar on a phone. A page inside another, such as Single sign-on inside Sign-in and security, names the page it belongs to above its title, and on a phone its back link goes to that page.
If a setting you expected is not listed
- Type its name in Find a setting to be sure.
- If it is not there, ask whoever administers your seat for the role it needs.
- If it says Upgrade beside it, press it to see which plans include it, and ask your Owner.
Then: Once your seat holds the role, the setting is listed the next time a page opens.
If Settings says you keep no settings
- Read who keeps them: the organization's Owners and Admins, and some whoever runs a unit's payments, time, leave, reports or posters.
- Press Open Account for the choices that are your own.
Then: Your own notifications, sign-in and language are on your account, never here, because they are yours and not the organization's.
If you read the books and have no Settings
- Open Invoices under Sales.
- Press Sales settings at the top of the page, or Tax rates on Items & prices.
Then: Sales settings opens for the units whose books you read, every setting shown and none to change, under a notice saying who changes them.
The menu is your own: each setting is listed only where your role keeps it, and only where your organization's plan includes it. Settings itself is on your menu only if your role can change or do something on at least one of them; one that only reads opens the page it reads from that page's own section. The settings a seat role keeps for its units, which were once a list of their own called Unit settings, are on this menu too, and that list's old address opens this page.
