Reconciliation report

One month of one account as it was reconciled: the bank's opening balance, what cleared in and out, the statement's closing balance, what had not cleared, and the book.

Read a month's reconciliation

  1. Open Reconcile and choose the account at the top.
  2. Find the month under Months reconciled.
  3. Press Report on its row.
  4. Read the four tiles: the opening balance, money in cleared, money out cleared, and the closing balance.
  5. Read the Summary, then each line that cleared and what it is in the book.
  6. Read Not yet cleared: what the book had to the month's end that the bank had not put through, such as a check.

Then: The opening balance and what cleared make the statement's closing balance. The closing balance and what had not cleared make the book's balance at the month's end. A line added by a rule says which rule.

Grace opens September's report for the Riverside account: it opened at 10,000.00, 4,000.00 came in and 225.50 went out, so it closed at 13,774.50. Check 0117 for 225.50 had not cleared by September 30, which is why the book said 13,549.00.

Send it to an auditor or the board

  1. Open the month's report.
  2. Press Download and choose Excel or CSV, or press PDF.

Then: The file has the same lines as the page, under the unit's name, with who finished the month and when. Every download is on the record.

If it says the book has moved since

  1. Read how much the book moved: an entry was posted into the month after it was reconciled.
  2. Open Reconcile from the link in the message.
  3. Undo the months back to this one, a month at a time.
  4. Match the month's lines again on For review, then reconcile it again.

Then: Once it is reconciled again, the report shows no move.

A month's report opens for whoever has See the books at its unit, an Auditor too. A month at a unit you do not read is not found. Where the unit keeps its people's names from the units above it and you are seated above, what each line is in the book says only Note kept within the unit: an entry's words can carry a name.
