Rates

Everybody's rate at a unit on one screen, where each came from, and the positions' standard rates beside them.

Set or change somebody's rate

  1. Choose the Unit and press Show, if you read pay at more than one.
  2. If the rates are locked, type your HR PIN in Your HR PIN and press Open: one unlock covers the whole page.
  3. Find the person: those with no rate come first, marked Missing.
  4. Type the rate in the box, choose what it is per and its currency.
  5. Press Enter, or Save.

Then: The rate is saved on their pay record and kept in its history against your name, and they are paid it on the next run. Beside each person it says where the rate came from: Position standard, Own rate, or Missing.

Who: Whoever holds Set pay over the person changes it. A raise past the Owner's limit waits for a second person's yes: HR at the unit above who reads pay, an Admin or an Owner, under Changes waiting.

Ken Ito was added by a coordinator with no rate. Sokha opens Rates, finds Ken first, marked Missing, types 17.00 an hour and presses Enter. Ken is on the next run, and Sokha's “Set pay for Ken Ito” notice is done.

Change a position's standard rate

  1. Under Standard rates, find the position.
  2. Type its new rate, choose what it is per and its currency, and press Save.
  3. If somebody holding it is still paid the old standard, you are asked whether to move them too: press Change it and move them, or Change the standard only.

Then: Whoever takes the position over from now starts on the new rate. Each person moved has a pay change of their own, kept in their pay history against your name; a move past the Owner's limit waits for a second person, and their record keeps the old rate until then.

Rather not? Press Cancel to leave the standard as it was.

Who: HR who sets pay at the position's unit.

Front desk's standard rises from $18.00 to $19.00 an hour. Ana Lim holds Front desk at $18.00, so Sokha is asked and presses Change it and move them, and Ana's rate is $19.00 from the next run.

If somebody is not on Rates

  1. Check they are seated at the unit, or a unit below it.
  2. Open their record and check their period of service: Rates lists the paid staff, on an employee's or an intern's footing.
  3. Somebody added without pay is listed even with no footing recorded, marked Missing: added without pay.

Then: Once they are paid staff they are listed, and with no rate they come first, marked Missing.

Rates shows where your organization's plan has Pay runs, only to whoever holds Read pay at a unit, with the HR unlock open; never in a support visit. You change only the rates of people over whom you hold Set pay, and standard rates where you are HR who sets pay. A name a unit keeps within it is shown as Name withheld, and its rate cannot be changed here.
