People

Everybody you keep HR records for, a page at a time: where they sit, the footing they work on, when they started, and what needs attention first.

Find somebody's HR record

  1. Type a name, or the title on one of their seats, in the search box.
  2. Press their name, or Open beside it.

Then: Their HR record opens on Employment.

Daniel types “youth” and finds the two people at Hillcrest whose seats are titled Youth worker, then presses Open beside the first.

Narrow the list

  1. Press a chip above the list: Everyone, Employees, Volunteers, the contractors, interns and secondments, or No engagement recorded.
  2. Press Add filter.
  3. Choose Unit, then a unit, to see that unit and the units below it.
  4. Or choose Status, then Active, On probation, Starting or Leaving.
  5. Press Clear to take the filters off.

Then: Each chip and each choice says how many people it holds. The list goes back to its first page whenever you change it, and the address keeps your choice, so Back and a shared link land on the same list.

See what needs attention first

  1. Read the Needs attention column beside each person.
  2. Press Open to put it right on their record.

Then: The column shows one thing each: the first thing due or lapsed, as HR's home lists it; or else Leaving and the last day, Starts and the first day, or Probation until its end.

Start somebody new

  1. Press Start someone.
  2. Invite them, or enroll them, on People, and give them a seat.
  3. Record their period of service on their People page.

Then: Once they hold a seat where you keep HR records, they are listed here. Their period of service starts their joining checklist by itself, where a checklist fits them.

Who: Whoever may seat people at the unit invites or enrolls them, such as the HR administrator, a Unit coordinator, the Owner or an Admin.

If somebody is not on the list

  1. Press Everyone.
  2. Press Clear to take every filter off.
  3. Search for them again.
  4. If they are still missing, open People and check their seats.

You see everybody with a current seat at a unit where you keep HR records: holding both Enroll, invite and seat people and Read personal details there, as the HR administrator, the Owner and Admins do. Anybody else is told they keep nobody's HR records. A name a unit keeps from the levels above it reads Name withheld, has no Open, and is never found by the search. The page is there only where your organization's plan has HR foundations & onboarding.
