Pay bills
Many bills, and claims to pay back, paid at once by one file your bank reads, approved by a second person first.
Make a payment run
- Press New payment run.
- Choose the account under Pay from, and the day under The bank pays on.
- Check the bills and claims to pay, or press Choose all that can be paid.
- Check the total at the foot.
- Press Make the run.
Then: The run opens on its own page, waiting for a second person's approval. Its bills and claims are held: nothing else pays them while the run waits.
On Friday Grace checks four bills due next week and one claim, from the Hillside Center's bank account, paid on Monday: $3,240 in five payments.
Confirm a payee's new bank account
- Call the payee on a number you already had, never one given with the change, and ask whether the new account is theirs.
- On the run's list, press Confirm the account beside them.
- Press I called them, and it is theirs, and confirm it's you.
Then: The account can be paid at once, without waiting the cooling days.
If New payment run is not there
- Read the notice: no bank account is set up to pay by file yet.
- If you are an Owner or Admin, press Set up the payment file.
- Otherwise, ask an Owner or Admin to set up the bank account the money leaves from.
Then: Once an account is set up, New payment run shows to whoever keeps the book.
Pay bills lists the runs of every book you can open. Making, sending and undoing a run need Record money at its unit; approving needs Approve money there. Setting up the accounts paid from is for Owners and Admins, in Settings › Payment file.
