One event
One event on the calendar: when and where it is, your reply, and, for whoever runs it, who is invited and who came.
Say whether you are coming
- Read When and where: the time on the event's own clock, with your time beside it when yours is another.
- Under Your reply, press Going, Maybe or Can't.
- For a series, choose the date first: each date has its own reply.
Then: Whoever runs it sees your answer beside your name. Held online, the event has a Join button for everybody who can see it.
Invite people and see who answered
- For a series, choose the date under People first: each date has its own list.
- Under People, press Invite. For a series, choose Every date from this one, a year ahead or This date only.
- Under People, find each person by name. Under Units, press Add units to invite everybody at a unit. Include units below takes in the units beneath it too: uncheck it for the unit alone.
- Choose their Role if they are not coming as attendees, and press the button that says how many, such as Invite 12 people.
- Use the counts above the list to see who is going, who said maybe or can't, and who has not replied, and press Download for the list in Excel or CSV.
Then: Everybody new is told once, and is on the list for the dates invited as No reply. Somebody on the list already is left as they were, and is not told twice; but somebody who withdrew and is chosen again by name is invited again, as No reply, and told. Somebody who has not replied is not a refusal, and the page keeps the two apart.
Rather not? For people with no account, press Guest link on People: press Make a shared link and copy it for a crowd, or type a name and email and press Invite a guest. Each link opens half an hour before the call and stops when it ends, or up to 30 minutes later while the call runs over; somebody at the shared link waits in the lobby until a host lets them in.
Take the roll
- Choose the date under People, for a series.
- Press Take the roll.
- Press Came or Did not beside each person, or All present.
- Press Record.
Then: Each date of a series keeps its own record, so correcting one week leaves the others alone. A person left unmarked is not recorded, which is not the same as absent.
Rather not? Marking somebody present who was never invited adds them, for a walk-in.
Grace invites twelve people to the Thursday workshop and nine reply. On the night ten come, one of them a walk-in; Grace marks the ten, leaves two unmarked until they check, and records it.
Change it, or cancel it
- Press Edit to change it in the same form as the calendar. Its picture, and Feature it on Home, are under Picture and Home at the bottom.
- Or open More and press Cancel the event…, or Cancel a date, or the series… for one that repeats.
- Choose what you are canceling, and press Cancel it.
Then: Nothing is deleted: it stays on the calendar marked canceled, and attendance already recorded on past dates is kept.
Put it in your own calendar, or make a poster
- Open More.
- Press Add to my calendar for a file your calendar app adds, Make a poster for a poster to print or share, or Copy link to send the page to somebody.
You can open an event announced to your part of the organization. Changing it, inviting people and taking the roll belong to the unit that holds it, so somebody who can only see it has no Edit, Invite or Take the roll. A name reads Name withheld where that person's unit keeps names within it.
