Noticeboard
Everything posted for you, on one page: your units' notices, notices sent down from the units above yours, and your teams' and groups' walls.
Read what has been posted for you
- Read down the posts. Pinned posts lead the first page, then the newest.
- Read the line under each post: it says why it reached you, such as the unit it was sent to, or the team or group you are in.
- Type in the search box to find a post by its words.
- Press Add filter to narrow it by unit, by where it was posted, by kind, or to pinned posts only.
- Use the pages at the foot of the list to go further back.
Then: A group's post you have read here counts as read on My wall too.
Post a notice
- Press the box that says Post something.
- Choose where it goes in the list beside it, when you may post in more than one place: a unit's board, or a team or group you are in.
- For a unit's board, choose Who it reaches: this unit and everything below it, or this unit only.
- Check roles under Narrow it to roles to reach only the people who hold them there, or leave them all unchecked.
- For a unit's board, read the line that then says how many people would see it.
- Write your post and press Post.
Then: It is on the board of everybody it reaches at once, with a line saying why it reached them. Posted from here, a post on a unit's board or a team's wall sends nobody a notice: it is there when they look. A post to a group tells its members, as each has chosen to hear.
Rather not? To add photos or files, make an announcement or ask a request, post on the group's own wall. To change a post, take it down and post it again: a post cannot be edited.
Who: A unit's board takes posts from those whose role lets them post at that unit; a team's or a group's wall, from its members.
Grace leads Riverside and wants only its leads to know the hall is closed on Saturday. Grace chooses Riverside, sets Who it reaches to this unit only, checks Unit leads under Narrow it to roles, reads "3 people would see this." and presses Post.
React to a post, or comment on it
- Press one of the four reactions under a post: the thumbs-up, the party popper, the handshake or the folded hands.
- Press the same one again to take it back, or another to change it.
- To comment, press Comment under the post, or the speech bubble with its count once it has comments.
- Type your comment and press Comment.
Then: Whoever wrote the post is told that somebody commented, never what was said. Each post shows its newest two comments; press Show earlier comments above them, which says how many, for the rest. A comment taken down is not shown or counted.
Rather not? To take back a comment of yours, press Remove beside it, then Take it down.
Pin a post, or take one down
- Find the post. The buttons at its top right show only for whoever may use them.
- Press the pin to keep it at the top of the first page, and press it again to unpin it.
- Press the bin to take it down, then press Take it down.
- On a unit's own post, press the globe to show it as news on the unit's web page, and press it again to take it off.
Then: A post taken down is gone for everybody, and the record keeps it with who took it down.
Who: You may take down your own post or comment. Pinning, taking down somebody else's and the web page are for whoever moderates posts at the post's own unit (Owners, Admins, Unit coordinators, Unit leads and Communications, as the roles come), a team's leaders on its wall, and whoever runs a group on its wall.
Report a post that worries you
- Press the flag at the top right of the post.
- Choose why in the list.
- Add anything they should know, if you like.
- Press Report it.
Then: Your safeguarding lead has it, or your organization's if your unit has none, or its Owners if there is no lead at all. You are told it was received, and later that it was seen to.
Who: Whoever wrote it is not told, and nothing changes on the board. The words are kept as they stood, even if the post is taken down later.
You see a unit's posts where you hold a seat with Read posts, and posts sent down to everything below them from the units above yours; a post narrowed to roles reaches you only where you hold that role. A post made at a unit below yours does not reach you, unless you moderate there: a seat that holds Moderate posts and Read posts reads every post on its unit's board, and on the boards beneath it where the seat reaches down, so it can take one down. Somebody whose role covers the whole organization and holds Read posts, such as an Owner or an Admin, reads every unit's board, but a team's or a group's wall only when they are in it. Without Read posts at any unit, as for an Auditor, an IT admin or somebody with no seat, the Noticeboard is offered to you only while you are on a team or in a group, and shows you those walls and no unit's posts; on none, the page says the noticeboard is not part of your seat. Posting to a team or a group from here needs Teams & groups in your organization's plan. Your organization may call this page by a name of its own, and Your groups' meetings this week shows above the box when one of your groups meets in the next seven days.
