My shifts

Your published shifts for the next four weeks at every unit, with the open shifts you can take, your swaps, and when you can work.

See when you work next

  1. Open My shifts.
  2. Read the card at the top: your next shift, or the one on now.
  3. Read the list under it: each shift for four weeks, with your approved leave in its place.
  4. Press Add my shifts to my calendar to have them in your own calendar app.

Then: Your shifts appear in your calendar beside your events and leave, and stay in step.

Dara's coordinator published next week's roster on Friday, and Dara was told once. On Monday the card says Thursday, 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Youth worker at the Riverside Community Center.

Take an open shift

  1. Open the Open shifts tab.
  2. Check whether it fits your availability.
  3. Press Claim.

Then: As your unit has set it, the shift is yours at once, or it waits for a roster keeper to approve it. You are told, and once it is yours it joins My shifts.

Rather not? Press Withdraw my claim while it waits.

Who: A roster keeper at the shift's unit approves claims, never their own.

Swap or give away one of your shifts

  1. Press Swap beside a shift still to come, or Swap or give away on your next shift.
  2. Choose under What would you like?: give it to anyone who can take it, give it to a colleague, or swap it for one of theirs.
  3. Add A note for them if you want to.
  4. Press Send.

Then: The shift says Swap pending. Your colleague answers first; then a roster keeper who is not one of you decides. Until then the shift stays yours.

Rather not? Under Swaps, press Cancel swap or Cancel the offer: your shift stays yours, and anybody it was offered to is told.

Who: Your colleague accepts or declines, a roster keeper approves, and you are both told.

Answer a swap a colleague offers you

  1. Open Swaps: the number beside it counts those waiting for you.
  2. Read what you would give and what you would take.
  3. Press Accept the swap, or Take the shift for a give-away.

Then: Your colleague is told you accepted, and it goes to a roster keeper to decide; you are both told what they decide.

Rather not? Type a reason if you want to and press Decline: the shift stays theirs, and they are told.

Say when you can work

  1. Open Availability.
  2. For each day choose Usually available, Not available or No preference.
  3. Give From and Until for part of a day, or leave Until empty for all day.
  4. Press Save my week.
  5. For a single day you cannot work, pick the Day and press Add the day.

Then: Whoever keeps your roster sees it beside your shifts. No reason is asked.

Rather not? Press Take back beside a day you can work after all.

Only published shifts are here, yours at every unit. Open shifts are those at units where you hold a live seat, and open to your title where a shift is offered to a role. The calendar button shows where your organization has events. An Auditor, whose every seat only reads, is rostered nowhere: the page says so instead, and claiming a shift or taking one on by a swap is refused.
