My purchase requests
What you asked to buy, and where each request stands: approved, ordered, and what has arrived.
Ask to buy something
- Press Ask to buy something.
- Type what you want to buy.
- Choose who it is from, or leave it unknown and say who you have in mind.
- Fill in each line — what, How many, and the price each — and press Add a line for another. The total is worked out as you type.
- Choose the Budget line it comes from, or what it is Spent on.
- Say Why, and press Ask for approval.
Then: It goes to its approval steps, never to you, and you are told each answer. Nothing is ordered until it is approved.
Sophea needs a stage for the annual conference. They ask for one line, Staging platform, 1 at $14,800, against the Events budget line, and say why: the venue's own stage is too small.
If a request was sent back
- Open the request: the note says what to change.
- Press Change and ask again.
- Change what the note asked for.
- Press Ask again.
Then: It goes through its approval steps afresh. The earlier answers are kept.
Say what arrived
- Open the request once it reads Ordered.
- Press Receive goods.
- Type how many of each line arrived, and press Save what arrived.
Then: Finance sees it, and matches the supplier's bill against what you received.
Only your own requests. Deciding them is others' — never yours — and so are ordering them and paying the bill.
