My groups: the wall

Everything said in all the groups you are in, on one wall, newest first, with your groups' next meetings beside it.

Catch up on what you have not read

  1. Open My groups. It opens on Wall.
  2. Read the posts marked new at the top. A post counts as read once it has been on your screen for a moment.
  3. Press Mark all as seen to clear the rest.
  4. To read one group alone, press its name above the wall; press All for every group again.

Then: New reaches back two weeks, and your own posts are never new to you. A post you read on its group's own page or on Home counts as read here too.

Mary Ann is in three groups. On Thursday the wall shows 3 new: a request for spare tents, photos of Saturday's beach clean-up and the notes from Sunday's workshop. Mary Ann reads the first two and closes the app; next time only the workshop notes are new.

Write to one of your groups

  1. Choose the group under Post to.
  2. Choose Post, or Request to ask the group for its support.
  3. Type in the box.
  4. Add up to six photos or files with Photo or File, if you like.
  5. Press Post, or Ask for a request.

Then: It goes on that group's wall, for its members only. An ordinary post reaches them in their daily summary; an announcement from whoever runs the group is sent to everybody at once.

Say whether you'll come to a meeting

  1. Find the meeting under Coming up beside the wall, or Next meeting at the top on a phone.
  2. Press I'll come or Can't this time.
  3. Press your answer again to take it back.

Then: Everybody who has not said they can't is reminded the day before. Whoever runs the group sees how many are coming.

Join a group's meeting online

  1. Find the meeting under Coming up, or Next meeting on a phone.
  2. For one held in ORG-APP's Inbuilt Meeting Room, wait for the room to open, half an hour before the start.
  3. Press Join ORG-APP's Meeting Room, or Join in a short list.
  4. For a meeting held elsewhere, press Join online.

Then: The call opens over the page, and the wall stays underneath. A meeting already on now has its Join at the very top of the wall.

Let people into a group you run

  1. On a wide screen, look under Needs you beside the wall: it shows how many are waiting to join each group you run.
  2. Press See who to read their names first on the group's People tab.
  3. Press Let them in, which says Let all and the number in when several are waiting.

Then: Each is told they are in, and the group's wall opens to them.

Who: Whoever runs the group and its helpers let people in.

Only the groups you are in, and only what each group's own wall would show you: a request written to a group's runners reaches only them and whoever asked. Somebody from outside the organization sees this page as My wall, the page they land on; with no group yet, it sends them on to My groups, or to My learning if they joined a course. Their times are where their groups meet, unless they choose their own clock in Your account.
