My Drive
Your documents, and the ones people have shared with you: upload them, share them, read what you are asked to, and keep their versions.

- Open the folder you want it in, or stay at the top of My Drive.
- Press Upload.
- Under Files, choose one file or several.
- Under Handling, choose Standard, Sensitive or Restricted.
- Press Upload.
Then: It is yours until you share it. You can also drop files anywhere on the page.

- Press Shared with me, or the New for you tile for those you have not opened yet.
- Type part of its name in the search box.
- Choose a kind, such as PDFs, to narrow the list.
- Press its name, then Open or download.
Then: Pictures, PDFs and text, and Excel, Word and CSV files, are shown in a panel; other kinds are downloaded to open.
Who: Only its owner can share it on, move it or delete it.
Share a file or folder
- Open the file's menu, its three dots, and press Share.
- Under With, type a person's name or a unit, and choose it.
- For a unit, check And everything below it to reach the units beneath it too.
- Choose how long: No end, A week, A month, End of the year or Pick a date.
- Check Ask them to read it and say so if they should confirm they have read it.
- Press Share.
Then: They can open it and download it, and everybody it reaches is told. A shared folder carries to everything inside it, its folders too.
Who: Only you, the owner, can share it. Whoever you share with cannot share it further.
You keep the year's accounts in a folder and share it with the treasurer, with No end. Everything you add to it later reaches them too, without sharing again.
Read a document you were asked to read
- Look under To read at the top, or press the To read tile.
- Press Read it to open it.
- When you have read it, press I have read it.
Then: It leaves To read, and whoever asked sees you have read it.
Who: The file's owner sees how many have read it and who has not yet, and can remind those who have not once a day.
A safeguarding policy is shared with a region and every unit below it, asking to be read. Its owner sees 58 of 79 have read it, reminds the other 21, and downloads who has as Excel.
Put up a new version of a file
- Press the file's name to open its details.
- Press Upload a new version.
- Choose the new file: the same kind as the one it replaces, a .docx for a .docx.
- Press Upload the new version.
Then: It keeps its name, its folder and who it is shared with, and the one it replaces is kept. Its details list the last ten versions, each to download or bring back. If it asks to be read, everybody is asked to read the new one.
Who: The file's owner puts up new versions, and only the owner deletes an earlier one. People it is shared with to read see the current version.
Nothing here is shown because of where you sit: only the files you own, and the files and folders somebody shared with you. People's documents shows only when there are some for you, and the Shared outside link only where you may share files outside or have done so.
