Monthly roll-up
The month's totals for your unit and the units beneath it, people, hours and leave, with what happened that month below them: the page a board reads.
Read a month's totals
- Open Monthly roll-up in the tabs under Reports.
- Press a month in the row under the title, such as 2026-09. This month and the five before it are offered.
- If you look after more than one part of the organization, press its name in the second row.
- Read the tiles: People, Hours worked, Hours approved and Leave taken, for that unit and everything beneath it.
- Read By unit: the same figures for each unit directly beneath it, side by side.
Then: Below them are the month's Events, Bookings, Governance & planning, Work reports and Follow-up. Attendance is shown beside how much of the register was taken, and somebody with no attendance recorded is counted as unknown, never as absent.
Grace chairs a regional board. On October 3 they press 2026-09 and read 412 hours worked across the region. By unit shows Riverside far above the others, and the Bookings section below explains it: the region's camp was held at Riverside that month.
Download the month for a board pack
- Choose the month, and the unit if you look after more than one.
- Press Download beside the title.
- Choose Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv).
Then: The file has the month for that unit and each unit beneath it, with Hours waiting (worked and not yet approved) and whether the month is closed; a second sheet with that unit over the six months ending with the one on screen; and a sheet saying when the figures were last worked out. The download is written on your organization's audit record.
If a figure changed since you last looked
- Look at the month. This month and last month are worked out again every night, so their figures move as hours are approved and leave is taken.
- For an earlier month, think of late changes: hours approved, corrected or added, or leave decided, for that month are counted the next night.
- Look for frozen beside a unit's name. A frozen month is from before a unit moved in the tree, and keeps the figures it was reported with.
Then: The figures are never a live count: they are what the nightly roll-up found, the same on the page and in the download.
If the page says it sums up other people's months
- Read the line: this page is for whoever reads reports or roll-ups for a unit.
- Press My report for the reports asked of you.
- Ask whoever administers your organization if you should read reports or roll-ups somewhere.
The roll-up is for whoever holds Read work reports or See roll-ups, such as a board member, a unit coordinator or a unit lead, and only where your organization's plan has Roll-ups & consolidated reports. Each figure is a unit where you hold one of them, with everything beneath it: a unit alongside yours has its own. The sections below the table count what happened that month at those same units, never at a unit you can see but where you hold neither. The figures name nobody, which is why they reach further up than names do.
