Message settings
Your own settings for Messages: saved replies, the conversations you muted, how messages reach you, what this device keeps, and the keys.
Write a saved reply
- Press New saved reply.
- Type a name you will recognize, and the words.
- If you run a unit, choose under For: Only me, or everyone there and below.
- Press Save.
Then: Where you write a message, choose it under Saved replies and it fills the box. It sends nothing by itself.
Who: A unit's saved replies are written by whoever runs it, and everyone seated there or below can use them.
Daniel writes the same reminder every month, so they save "Monthly report reminder" for everyone at their region and below. Their unit leads now pick it from Saved replies instead of typing it.
Turn a muted conversation back on
- Find it under Muted conversations, with when its mute ends.
- Press Unmute.
Then: Its notices, phone alerts and count on the mail icon come back.
Rather not? To mute one, open the conversation, press its details button, the i at the top, and choose Muted for a while or until you turn it back on.
Change how messages reach you
- Read How messages reach you: phone alerts, email and quiet hours as they are set now.
- Press Your account › Notifications.
- Change them there and press Save.
Then: The same choices apply to every kind of notice. Muting a conversation quiets that one alone.
Take your messages off this device
- Find On this device.
- Press Remove them now.
Then: They are removed from this device. Opening Messages here keeps your recent ones again.
Switch off the single-letter keys
- Find Keys: the letters that act on the Messages page.
- Uncheck Single-key shortcuts.
Then: The single-letter keys stop working on every page, and the ? key no longer opens help. Check it again to turn them back on.
Everything here is yours alone and changes nobody else's Messages. Translate shows only where your organization has translation turned on, and Reports sent to you only for somebody reports have come to.
