Linked organizations

Other organizations on ORG-APP your organization is linked with: each with its own account, Owners and subscription. Nothing in either side's books, people or records is read by the other; only what one side sends crosses — grants, published month totals if the partner opts in, and messages between named contacts.

Ask another organization to link

  1. Open Hierarchy, and press Linked organizations.
  2. Press Ask to link.
  3. Type their ORG-APP address under Their ORG-APP address: the part before .org-app.com on their sign-in page, such as nepal-hope.
  4. Check what the link is for: grants, published month totals, messages.
  5. Choose who here they may write to under Who here they may write to; they see those people by name and title only. Only people whose names you are shown are offered.
  6. Press Send the request, and confirm it's you when asked.

Then: Their Owners are told by bell and email. The row says Asked, waiting for them until an Owner there accepts or declines; you are told either way.

Rather not? Open the link and press Withdraw the request to take it back before they answer.

Who: Only an Owner, in their own session, asks; a support visit cannot. An Owner on the other side answers.

Amara, an Owner at Meridian Foundation, types nepal-hope, checks all three, names Grace and themself as contacts, and sends. Nepal Hope's Owners see Meridian Foundation asks to link organizations.

Accept or decline a request

  1. Under Waiting for you, find the request, and press Accept or Decline.
  2. Accepting: choose who here they may write to, and check Share our published month totals with them if you want them to see them. Declining: say why if you like.
  3. Press Accept or Decline, and confirm it's you when asked.

Then: The other organization's Owners and contacts are told. Linked, each side's grants, months and messages cross as they are sent; declined, nothing crosses and the request is kept as declined.

Who: An Owner here, in their own session.

Sokha, an Owner at Nepal Hope, accepts, names themself and the treasurer, and leaves months unchecked. Meridian sees Nepal Hope accepted: your organizations are linked.

See where each link stands

  1. The tiles count your links: Linked, Waiting for you, Waiting for them, and Ended or declined.
  2. Read each row: the organization, its address, what the link is for, and its status — Linked, Asked, They asked, Declined or Ended.
  3. Press an organization's name to open its page, with everything that crossed.

Who: Whoever sees Hierarchy sees the list. A link's page opens for an Owner, an organization-wide admin, a named contact on it, or somebody whose book a grant across it touches.

Daniel, who keeps head office's book, sees Nepal Hope is Linked and opens it to confirm an installment that arrived.

A volunteer's light seat does not see Hierarchy. Only an Owner sees Ask to link, Accept and Decline.
