Items & prices
What each unit sells and for how much, with the income it earns and its tax: picked on an invoice's line instead of typed.
Add an item and its price
- Press New item.
- Type What it is, and a second line if the invoice should print one.
- Give the price, and choose its tax.
- Choose What it earns, or leave the unit's usual, set in Settings › Money › Sales.
- Press Add the item.
Then: It is offered on every new invoice at that unit; picked, its words, price, income and tax fill the line, and can still be changed there.
The Boston center hires its main hall for $1,200 a day. Grace adds Venue hire, full day, at $1,200, earning Venue income, and picks it on the next invoice.
Change a price
- Press Change beside the item.
- Type the new price.
- Press Save.
Then: New invoices use the new price. Invoices already made keep the price they were made at.
The hall goes up to $1,300 in January. Grace changes the price; December's invoices still say $1,200.
Retire an item you no longer sell
- Press Retire beside the item.
- To see it again, choose Retired above the list, and press Bring back.
Then: A retired item is not offered on a new invoice. Invoices that used it keep their words.
The center stops renting projectors. Grace retires the item; it is no longer offered, and last month's invoice still shows it.
Items & prices shows the items of every book you can open. Adding, changing and retiring need Record money at the item's unit.
