ID cards
Who at a unit has an ID card, issuing cards to the rest, printing them, and replacing a lost one.
Issue cards to the people at a unit
- Open People, press More, then ID cards.
- Choose the unit in the list at the top and press Show.
- Check the box beside each person whose card reads No card, Expired or Canceled.
- Press Issue cards for those selected.
Then: Each gets a card numbered with the unit's code where it has one, such as KN-0142, and the expiry the card's design sets. The note at the top says how many were issued and offers to print them now; they can be printed any time from this page. Each person can also show their card on their phone, under My time › ID card.
Who: Whoever adds and changes people at a unit issues its cards. How every card looks is set under The card's design.
Grace runs the Riverside center. Three volunteers started this week, so Grace chooses Riverside, checks the three boxes beside No card and presses Issue cards for those selected. The note says 3 cards issued, and Grace prints them before the volunteers leave for the day.
Print cards
- Check the box beside each good card you want to print.
- Choose the paper: A4 sheet, 10 cards, Letter sheet, 8 cards or Card printer, one a page.
- Choose Front and back, or Front only.
- Press Print the selected cards.
- Press Print at the top of the page that opens, and print from your browser.
Then: Each card is drawn at the size of a bank card. On a sheet the backs come on the next page, placed so that, printed double-sided and turned on the long edge, each back lands behind its own front. A card printer takes each card's front and back as a pair of pages.
Rather not? Straight after issuing or replacing, press Print them, or Print it, in the note at the top to print only those cards. On the print page, Back to ID cards takes you back.
Replace a lost or damaged card
- Find the person. Their card reads Good.
- Type the reason in the box beside it, such as Lost or Damaged.
- Press Replace.
- Press Print it in the note at the top to print the new card.
Then: The old card stops working at once, and a new card with a new number is ready to print. The holder is told their card was replaced: its code no longer clocks them in, and they collect the new card from whoever issued it.
Daniel left their card on a bus. Mary Ann types Lost beside it and presses Replace: the old number no longer clocks anybody in, the note names the new number, and Mary Ann prints it on the office's card printer. Daniel gets a notice that the card was replaced.
Cancel a card without a new one
- Find the person. Their card reads Good.
- Press Cancel it.
Then: The card reads Canceled and its code no longer clocks anybody in. The holder is told. To give them a card again, check their box and issue a new one.
Put a photo on a card
- Open the person's page in People.
- Press Choose a photo and pick one.
- Tap their face, so the crop keeps it in view.
- Press Save photo.
- Print their card again from ID cards.
Then: The photo is on their card the next time it is printed. The card keeps its number: there is no need to replace it.
Who: Whoever may add and change the person in People sets their photo. Nobody sets their own from Your account: the photo on an ID card is the organization's to take.
You see only the units where you may add and change people, one unit at a time, and only the people there who have opened their account. Where a unit keeps its people's names from those above it, a person reads A person whose name is withheld and has no box: their card is issued by somebody inside that unit. ID cards are part of your organization's plan, and without them the page is not offered.
