Headcount & turnover
How many people a unit has today, on what footing, and who joined and left in the last 12 months, for the unit and each unit below it: counts only, never names.
Read a unit's headcount and turnover
- Read the four figures at the top: people today, joined, left, and turnover.
- Read On what footing: employees, volunteers, contractors, interns and secondments, and no engagement recorded.
- Read Unit by unit for each unit below it.
Then: People today counts everybody with a current seat there, each once. Joined counts people whose first engagement began in the last 12 months; left, people whose last engagement ended in them, with none in force or still to come. Turnover is those who left as a share of today's headcount.
North Region has 40 people; 6 joined and 4 left in the year, a turnover of 10%. Hillcrest, below it, has 2 people, so its row reads Not shown, and so does the smallest unit beside it.
Choose another unit
- Choose a Unit.
- Press Show.
Then: Its own figures come first, then each unit below it.
If a figure says Not shown
- Read the line under the figures: figures about fewer than 3 people, and one beside them, are not shown.
- Choose a unit higher up, where more people are counted together.
Then: A figure about fewer than 3 people is not shown, and nor is one beside it, so the rest cannot be taken from a total to find it. Both read the same, so Not shown never says how big a figure is. Nought is shown.
If the split by footing is not shown
- Read the line under On what footing.
- Press the name of your top unit in it.
Then: The split is drawn for your top unit as a whole: a smaller unit's own split beside it would give a smaller group away.
Headcount is for whoever keeps HR records at a unit: the HR administrator, the Owner and Admins. It counts only the units where you keep them, and people only, never names; any figure about fewer than 3 people, and one beside it, reads Not shown. The page is there only where your organization's plan has HR foundations & onboarding.
