Daily notes

One line on everybody's home page each morning, chosen from your own library of lines, or none at all.

Bring in your lines from a spreadsheet

  1. Press Excel template, or CSV template, and fill it in: one row a line.
  2. Only the text column is needed, up to 600 characters a line.
  3. Press Choose a file and choose it.
  4. Read how many are new, updated and skipped, and why any were skipped.
  5. Press Load them.

Then: The lines join the rotation: each morning one line is shown on everybody's home page, a different one each day. Nothing is written until you press Load them.

Rather not? Press Cancel to leave the file unloaded.

Grace keeps a year of the organization's values and safety reminders in a spreadsheet. Grace loads it into two collections, Our values and Field safety, and from the next morning one line a day is shown on everybody's home page.

Show a line on one particular day

  1. In the template, write the day in the show_on column, such as 2026-12-25.
  2. Load the file again.

Then: That line is shown on that day only, in place of the day's turn, and its row says pinned to that day. A line pinned to a day sits out the rest of the rotation.

Group lines into collections, with their attribution

  1. Press New collection at the top of Collections, or Edit on a collection's row.
  2. Type its Name.
  3. Under Attribution, write the notice a quotation needs, such as a translation's copyright line.
  4. Check or uncheck Include these lines in the daily rotation.
  5. Press Save.

Then: The attribution is shown small beneath every line of the collection. A collection taken out of the rotation is paused, and its lines wait in the library.

Stop showing one line

  1. Find it under Lines.
  2. Press Hide. Press Show to bring it back.

Then: It stays in the library and is left out of the rotation. With no lines in the rotation at all, the home page shows no note.

Start from ORG-APP's own lines

  1. Find Notes from the library, below your own.
  2. Press Copy beside the set you want.

Then: A copy is your organization's own to change. A later change to ORG-APP's library never reaches it.

One line goes to everybody, so only an organization-wide role that changes settings, such as the Owner or an Admin, can change the notes. The page opens only for those who hold Change organization settings: anybody else who types its address is told it is set up by the organization's Owners and Admins. Somebody who holds it at a unit, not across the organization, sees the library with every button grayed out, as everybody has been shown it: a hidden line, a paused collection and a line pinned to a day still to come are left out, and not counted, until Home shows them. Everybody sees the day's line on Home.
