Contractors (1099)
What suppliers marked as getting a 1099 were paid in a year, in US dollars: what counts toward the threshold, what does not, and whose 1099-NEC is due.
See whose 1099-NEC is due
- Choose the year under Payments in: last year, by default.
- Read each contractor's payments by bank or check and by cash, and what is counted.
- Look for 1099-NEC due and anything a form still needs, a TIN or an address.
Then: Fill in what is missing on Suppliers, under 1099 and TIN.
Download the spreadsheet for an e-file service
- Press For e-file, with full TINs.
- Read what it carries, press Download, and confirm it's you.
- Upload the spreadsheet to your e-file service, then delete it.
Then: It has one row for each contractor whose counted payments reach the threshold, with their full TIN, name, address and Box 1 amount. Each download is recorded with who, when, how many rows and the file's fingerprint, never a TIN.
Rather not? For the figures alone, press Download beside it, or PDF: every TIN shows its last four only.
Who: Only the organization's Owners and Admins download it, never on a support visit. Whoever keeps the books reads the report with TINs masked, marks suppliers and gives their TINs.
Download the figures, or a PDF summary
- Choose the year under Payments in.
- Press Download and choose Excel or CSV, or press PDF.
Then: Each contractor's payments by bank or check, by cash, what is counted, what is not, and whether their 1099-NEC is due, with the year's threshold and what was left out said beneath. Every TIN shows its last four only.
Grace downloads the 2026 summary in January 2027 for the treasurer: Rosa Diaz Design was paid $2,100 by bank and $900 by card, so $2,100 is counted against the $2,000 threshold, and a 1099-NEC is due.
