Certificates
What a certificate looks like and says, published at a unit for itself or for the units beneath it.
Design a certificate
- Press New template at the top of the list.
- Write what it says, choose the unit it is Published by and who it is Offered to.
- Set its colors, typeface and frame, and add its signature lines.
- Press Save.
Then: It is listed here, marked Default or Custom, and offered to the courses at its unit, or at its unit and everything below, as you chose.
Start from a ready-made design
- Under Certificates from the library, below your templates, find a design.
- Choose the unit it is Published at, and press Copy.
- Press Edit on the copy to change it there.
Then: The copy is your organization's own to change. A later change to the library never reaches it.
Make it a unit's default
- Press Edit at the end of the template's row.
- Check This unit's default.
- Press Save.
Then: A course that chooses no design of its own is issued on the nearest default offered to the unit that runs it: its own, or one above it offered to the units beneath. One default per unit.
The international unit publishes one certificate for every unit beneath it and marks it default. A national unit with its own letterhead publishes a default of its own, and the certificates of the units beneath that one are drawn on it instead.
If a certificate came out plain, or on another design
- Mark a template as the default of the unit that runs the course, or of a unit above it, offered to the units beneath.
- Or choose a design for the course in its builder, under Certificate design.
Then: Certificates already issued keep the design they were issued on: reissuing one would make an old document say something new.
You see your units' own templates, and those published above them for the units beneath. Certificates is on the Settings menu, under Forms, and a tab on Courses, for whoever holds Change units; opened without it, the page says certificates are designed by the organization's administrators and offers Open My learning, where your own certificates are.
