Calendar
Everything on in your unit, and anything announced from above it, by day, week or month: events, meetings, classes, holidays and your own leave and bookings.
See what is on
- Move through the weeks or months with the grid's arrows, or press a day in the little month beside it.
- Press Today to come back to today.
- Read Coming up beside the grid: your next two weeks, with any held online marked Online.
- Press a category or a layer above the grid, such as Meetings or Leave, to hide it or show it again.
- Press an event to open its page.
Then: The categories and layers you hide stay hidden on this device. A meeting, a class or a holiday opens on its own page.
Dara is planning a visit in November. They switch off Meetings and Courses, press November in the little month, and see the two days the region is closed shaded across the grid.
Add an event
- Press New event, or press an empty day or time on the grid.
- Type its Title and choose the Unit that holds it. Its times are held on that unit's clock.
- Choose its Category, if it has one.
- Check when it Starts and Ends. They open filled in: on the day or time you pressed, else today at the next hour on the unit's clock, and an hour long. Change Starts and Ends moves with it, until you change Ends yourself.
- Open Repeat to make it a series, and Where to give it a place, ORG-APP's Inbuilt Meeting Room or a Meeting link.
- Under Audience, choose who in the organization sees it.
- To invite people as you schedule it, open Who's invited. Under People, find each person by name; under Units, press Add units for everybody at a unit. Include units below takes in the units beneath it too: uncheck it for the unit alone. It says how many people that is.
- Press Schedule.
Then: It is on the calendar of everybody it reaches: This unit only, This unit and everything below, or Everyone in the organization. Everybody chosen under Who's invited is invited as it is saved and told, and shows on the event's People card as No reply until they answer. Held in ORG-APP's Inbuilt Meeting Room, the sheet then offers Guests from outside, and the event's page offers Guest link on its People card: the event's own page asks everybody to sign in, so people with no account join its call by a guest link.
Rather not? Press Quick add event, or the N key, type a title and press Enter: it goes on the day you are looking at. Press Tab instead to finish it in the full form.
Sokha schedules the youth leaders' evening at the Phnom Penh unit, shared with This unit and everything below. Under Who's invited they add the two youth units, with the units below them, and Dara by name. The section says 23 people; Sokha presses Schedule, and all 23 are invited and told.
Move or change an event
- Drag the event to another day or time on the grid, or drag its edge to change how long it is.
- Or press it to open the form, change it, and press Save.
- For one date of a series, choose Just this date, This and all later dates or The whole series.
Then: The calendar shows it where you put it. Dragging one date of a series moves that date alone. If the change is refused, it goes back where it was and says why.
Add holidays and closed days
- Press Holidays.
- Choose the Units that declare it, type its Name and choose its Kind.
- Choose From, and To for more than one day.
- Check Nothing runs on this day if the office shuts, and Repeats on the same date every year if it comes round again.
- Press Add to the calendar.
Then: It shows for that unit and every unit below it, and a closed day is shaded across the grid. Nobody is reminded of an event on a day its unit is closed.
Rather not? For a year at a time, open Import a year of holidays from Excel, press Excel template, fill it in, and press Choose the filled-in file. A holiday already on the calendar, at the same unit with the same name and first day, is left as it is, so the same file can be imported again.
Sokha declares the national holidays for Cambodia each January. They download the Excel template, add fourteen rows at the national unit, and import it: every unit in the country shows the closures, and the office shuts on each.
See this calendar in your phone's calendar
- Press Subscribe.
- On a phone or in Outlook, press Add to my calendar app.
- For Google Calendar, press Copy the link and paste it under Other calendars, From URL.
Then: Your calendar app keeps it up to date by itself: your events, meetings, classes' sessions, shifts and leave, and the tasks and actions due from you where your plan has them.
Rather not? If the link gets out, press Make a new link. Every calendar subscribed with the old link stops updating at once.
You see the events of your own units, and those announced from a unit above you to the units below it. Whoever created an event chose who it reaches, so one set to a unit you are not in does not appear. And the calendar shows events only through a seat that holds See events: an Auditor's and an IT admin's do not, and the Calendar tells them so. Your bookings are yours alone, and leave is shown as the Leave layer says.
