Bank feeds
A unit's banks, connected through Plaid so their lines arrive on For review by themselves, as an uploaded statement's do.
Connect a bank
- Choose the unit at the top, if you can open more than one book.
- Press Connect a bank.
- Choose the country under The bank is in.
- Press Continue to your bank, and type your password again if you are asked to confirm it's you.
- In Plaid's window, find the bank, sign in to it there, and check the accounts to share.
- Back on the page, under each account choose the book's account under Its lines go to, and the day under From.
- Press Save.
Then: The bank's lines from that day are brought in at once and wait on For review, and new ones arrive by themselves after that. Lines already on the account's statements, from an upload or the feed, are recognized and left out. Every Owner is told the bank was connected, by email as well as in the bell.
Rather not? A bank Plaid does not reach: download its statement and upload it on Banking, as before.
Who: Only the organization's Owners and Admins connect a bank, choose where its lines go, reconnect it or disconnect it.
Grace, an Admin of Hillside Center, connects First National Bank on October 3. Grace sends its checking account's lines to 1010 First National Bank from September 1. Forty lines arrive on For review, and the twelve Grace uploaded on September 30 are recognized and left out.
Bring the newest lines in now
- Find the bank's card.
- Press Sync now.
Then: Whatever the bank has sent Plaid since the last time arrives on For review, and the notice says how many lines were new. Without anybody pressing it, lines arrive as Plaid sends word of them, and every bank is brought in at least once a day.
Who: Whoever keeps the unit's book: the Owner, Admins, Unit coordinators and Finance officers.
If a bank says it needs reconnecting
- Read why on the bank's card: the bank asks to be signed in to again, or its permission to share is ending.
- Press Reconnect.
- Confirm it's you, then sign in to the bank again in Plaid's window.
Then: The bank is connected again, the lines it missed are brought in, and the notice the book's keepers were sent comes down.
Who: The book's keepers are told in the bell when a bank needs reconnecting; an Owner or Admin reconnects it.
Disconnect a bank
- Find the bank's card.
- Press Disconnect, read what it does, and press Disconnect again.
- Confirm it's you.
Then: No more lines arrive from it, and Plaid is told to forget the connection. The lines it brought in stay on the statements, matched or not. Every Owner is told.
Rather not? To send an account's lines to another book account instead, change Its lines go to and press Save.
Bank feeds shows one unit's banks at a time, among the units where you have See the books. Sync now needs Record money at that unit. Connecting, choosing where lines go, reconnecting and disconnecting are for the organization's Owners and Admins. Banking is part of the Finance book, where your organization's plan has it.
