Attendance
Fixed shifts or flexible hours, unit by unit and person by person, and when late, early and missed shifts are passed on to a lead or the Coordinator.
Set a unit's working times
- Choose the unit under Settings for.
- Under Work pattern, choose Fixed — set days and times, or Flexible — hours a week, whenever they are worked.
- For fixed times, set each day's start, end and break.
- Press Save changes on the bar at the foot of the page.
Then: Everybody seated there and in the units beneath follows it, unless their unit or their seat has times of its own. A fixed week's hours follow from the days and times.
The front desk works 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an hour's break, Monday to Friday: 35 hours a week. A clock-in at 9:12 AM is late once the grace has passed. A night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM is entered with its end before its start, and read as ending the next morning.
Give one person their own times
- Choose their unit under Settings for.
- Under People here, press Set their own beside them.
- Set their days and times.
- Press Save changes.
Then: Their own times always win over their unit's.
Choose how attendance is counted, and who is told
- Choose The whole organization under Settings for, and Count late, early and missed shifts, or Points.
- Set Minutes after the start before a clock-in is late.
- Set when the lead and the Coordinator are told, and when the person is reminded with no clock-in.
- Check Tell the person when their lead or Coordinator is told.
- Press Save changes.
Then: The person is reminded when a shift starts without them, and their lead a little later. To begin with: 5 minutes' grace; over the last 30 days, the lead is told at 3 late or early shifts and the Coordinator at 5, and the Coordinator at 2 missed shifts. Points are 0.5 for late or early, 1 for a shift missed with notice and 2 without, each dropping off after 90 days.
Let a unit be stricter or gentler
- Choose the unit under Settings for.
- Change any of its policy's numbers: it then keeps its own, and Its own, for it and every unit beneath it that has none is chosen for you.
- Press Save changes.
Then: It applies to that unit and everything beneath it, and the organization's page lists it under Units with their own. To go back to the policy above, choose Follow under its policy, and save.
The organization's policy is changed only by the Owner and Admins. A unit's times and policy are changed by whoever holds Set this unit's timesheet choices there. With rosters on, a day with a published shift is measured against the shift, not the set times.
