A review cycle

One review cycle you run as HR: set it up and open it, see each person's review by its stage, name who writes the ones with nobody, ask for peer views, and close it.

Open the cycle

  1. Open the cycle from Review cycles you run; it says Draft.
  2. Change what you need in its form, and press Save.
  3. Press Open the cycle.

Then: Its questions are copied from the form as they are now, and each person seated at its unit or beneath it, with an engagement running today, gets a review. Each review's reviewer is the holder of the position the person's seat reports to; where there is nobody, or that manager may not be told the person's name, it waits for you to name one. Everybody reviewed is told to write their self review, and every reviewer is told reviews wait for them. The top person's review is private, and the Owners are told it waits for one of them.

Rather not? Press Delete the draft to drop a cycle nobody has a review in yet.

Who: HR at the cycle's unit opens it.

See where each review stands

  1. Read each row: the person, their reviewer, whether the self review was sent, and its stage.
  2. Search for a person or a reviewer by name.
  3. Press Add filter and choose Stage, Self review, Appeal, Reviewer or Not acknowledged.
  4. Press Open on a row to see that review's steps.

Then: Each stage reads Being written, Shared with them or Signed off, with any appeal beside it. What a review says is never on this page: it is read on the review itself once it is shared, with the HR unlock open.

Name a reviewer where there is none

  1. Press Add filter, choose Reviewer, then Nobody named.
  2. Press Open on the row.
  3. Under Who writes it, choose somebody in Name the reviewer.
  4. Press Name them.

Then: They are told a review waits for them to write. Its draft, the rating, the meeting, sharing and the sign-off are theirs from then on.

Rather not? To hand a review to somebody else, choose them under Change the reviewer and press Name them.

Who: HR over the person names the reviewer. The top person's review is named by an Owner, and written by an Owner.

Ask colleagues for peer views

  1. Press Open on the person's row.
  2. Choose a colleague under Ask a colleague for a peer view.
  3. Press Ask them.
  4. Ask again for each other colleague, up to 5.

Then: They are told a colleague's review asks for their view. What they send shows under Peer views: the reviewer reads it at once; HR, the person's manager and the Owners read it once the review is shared, HR and the Owners with the HR unlock open; the person never does.

Who: HR or the review's own reviewer asks.

Close the cycle

  1. Open the cycle.
  2. Press Close the cycle.

Then: The writing stops: no more self reviews, reviewers' views or peer views are written or shared. Reviews already shared can still be signed off, and people still acknowledge and appeal theirs.

Only HR at the cycle's unit (both Enroll, invite and seat people and Read personal details there: the HR administrator, the Owner and Admins) opens this page; anybody else is told it is not found. It lists each review's stage, never a draft's words. The top person's review is listed only to an Owner. A support visit reads it and changes nothing.
