A payment run

One run: every payment in it, the account it pays from and the day, who made and approved it, and its file.

Approve a run

  1. Read each payment: who, what for, the account by its last four, and the amount — and the account it is paid from, by its last four, under the run's name.
  2. Press Approve, and confirm it's you.

Then: The file can be downloaded. What you approved is pinned: if a payee's bank details, or the account it is paid from, change after, the file is not made until the run is approved again.

Who: Somebody who approves money at the run's unit, and never whoever made the run, changed or confirmed a payee's account in it, or is paid back by it.

Download the file, and mark the run sent

  1. Press Download the file, confirm it's you, and give the file to your bank on its website.
  2. On the day the bank pays, press Mark sent, and confirm it's you.

Then: Each bill's payment, and each claim paid back, is recorded on the run's day, from its account, under the run's reference. When the bank's statement comes, its one line for the run is offered as the match for all of them together, on For review.

Rather not? Something wrong before it is sent? Press Send back for approval or Cancel; if the bank has the file, cancel it there too.

Take a payment out, send a run back, or cancel it

  1. While it waits for approval, press the cross beside a payment to take it out.
  2. Once approved, press Send back for approval to change it.
  3. To stop it before it is sent, press Cancel and say why.

Then: A payment taken out stays owed and can go in another run. A canceled run posted nothing, and lets its bills and claims go.

Rather not? If the bank has the file already, cancel it at the bank too.

Undo a sent run

  1. Press Undo.
  2. Say why: the bank returned it, or never paid it.
  3. Press Undo the run.

Then: Each payment is reversed, on the record, and what it paid is owed again.

A run opens for whoever reads its book. Its buttons are for whoever keeps the book, and Approve for whoever approves its money — never its maker.
