A learning path
Courses in the order a unit recommends taking them: each course, how far you have come with it, and the next class to join.
See where you are on the path
- Read Your progress: how many of its courses you have completed.
- Read the courses in order, each Completed, In progress or Not started.
- Press a course's name to open its page.
Then: Completed means you hold a completion of it that has not lapsed. In progress means you have a place on a class of it, are on its waiting list, or your place is waiting for payment, each said with the class.
A youth leader path holds Safeguarding basics, Youth leadership and Leading a small group. Having completed the first and joined a class of the second, Sokha reads one of three completed, with Youth leadership in progress and its class a press away.
Join the next class
- Read Next: the first course on it you haven't completed.
- If you are on a class of it already, press Open the class.
- Otherwise read its Next class, and press Join, or Ask for a place where it asks first.
- Answer the class's joining questions, if it asks any.
Then: Join puts you on the class at once, or on its waiting list when it is full. Asking sends your request to the people running it, and you are told either way. A paid place is held until you pay.
Make or change a path
- On Courses, press New learning path and start the draft. Its page opens with Edit this path under the courses.
- Choose a course under Add a course and press Add, for each course on the catalog at its unit.
- Move a course up or down with the arrows beside it, or press Remove… to take it off.
- Change its Title or Summary, and press Save.
- Press Publish once it holds at least 2 courses on the catalog.
Then: Published, it reaches everybody all of its courses reach, on Courses, and on My learning once they start it.
Rather not? Archive… takes it off every learner's page and My learning, and Bring it back returns it. A draft never published is removed with Delete the draft….
Ask for its courses in this order
- Check Ask for them in this order.
- Press Save the order setting.
Then: Each course asks for the one before it to be completed first, for everybody joining it, not only people following this path, and says so on the course as Before this course. Switching it off, reordering, or taking a course off takes away only what this path added: a course's own requirements stay.
A path is shown to the people every one of its courses is offered to, so one course not offered to your unit keeps the whole path from you. A draft or an archived path is seen only by the people who run courses at its unit. Your progress is yours alone.
