A group's people
Who is in the group, and, for whoever runs it and its helpers, who is waiting to join, who was invited and who needs a word.
Let somebody in, or decline them
- Open the group and press People.
- Find them under Waiting to join. The line says whether their address was checked and when they asked.
- Press Let in, or Decline.
Then: Let in, they are told and the group's wall opens to them. Declined, they are told their request was declined.
Rather not? An invitation not yet answered is under Invited: press Take back to withdraw it.
Who: Whoever runs the group and its helpers.
Two people used the poster's code on Tuesday. Dara, a helper, recognizes one from the camp and presses Let in, and presses Decline for the other, who is told.
Make somebody a helper, or take somebody off
- Find them under Everyone.
- Press Make a helper, or Member again to undo it.
- To take them off the group, press Remove, then press the Take … off button that appears beside their name.
Then: They are told. A helper lets people in, takes the roll and posts announcements. Every letting-in and taking-off is kept on the record.
Who: Only whoever runs the group.
Follow up somebody who has gone quiet
- Look under Needs a word: people who missed the last two meetings, or have been quiet for three weeks.
- Press Email beside somebody who agreed to be emailed.
- Or press Put on follow-up.
Then: Put on follow-up, they are on your To do list, with you following them up.
Who: Whoever runs the group and its helpers.
Mary Ann has missed the last two meetings and agreed to be emailed. Sokha sees Mary Ann under Needs a word, presses Email and writes from Sokha's own inbox, then presses Put on follow-up so the call next week is on Sokha's To do.
Choose whether the group's runners see your email
- Find Your email address beside the list.
- Press Let them email me, or Stop showing them my address.
Then: Whoever runs the group and its helpers see your address only while you allow it.
Leave the group
- Press Leave this group under Leaving.
- Press Yes, leave.
- If you run the group, hand it over first: press Group settings, then Choose who under Hand it over, choose somebody, and press Yes, hand it over.
Then: Its wall closes to you. After handing a group over you stay on as a helper, and can leave whenever you like.
Everybody in the group sees who else is in it. Who is waiting, who was invited, where people came from, their last meetings and the Download of the list are for whoever runs it and its helpers, and somebody's email address only if they agreed to be emailed; anybody else shows no contact given. A name reads Not named to you where that person's unit keeps its people's names within it; they are still counted. Somebody from outside the organization who helps run a group sees all of this, but has no Put on follow-up.
