A group's files

The photos, files and links shared on the group's wall, gathered in one place.

Find something that was shared

  1. Open the group and press Files.
  2. Type a file's name or words from its post in the search box.
  3. To see one kind, press Add filter, choose Kind, then Photos, Files or Links.
  4. Press a photo or a file to open it.

Then: Photos come a post at a time, then files with their size, then the web addresses people posted, each with who shared it and when.

The kit list for Sunday's hike was posted as a PDF three weeks ago. Grace, who joined on Saturday, opens Files, types 'kit' and finds it under Files without asking anybody to send it again.

Add photos or a file

  1. In the box at the top, say what they are.
  2. Press Photo or File and choose up to six.
  3. Press Post, or Ask where only those running the group post.

Then: They go on the wall as a post, so everybody can see and talk about them, and they are gathered here.

If a photo or file has gone from here

  1. Look for its post on the wall.
  2. If the post is gone, ask whoever wrote it, or whoever runs the group.

Then: Taking a post down takes its photos and files with it.

Only people in the group see its files, and a file on a request to those running it is seen by them alone. A closed group has no box to add with; what was shared stays to read.
